Caio Village western approach

- entering the village

Nestling at the bottom of a remote steep sided valley with no access possible from the north - historically this village was a favoured haunt of outlaws and others wishing to hide themselves away. It was also the home of Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan - Welsh

braveheart of the 15th century.
He had two sons serving Owain Glyndwr the Welsh Prince who was fighting English rule in Wales.
When Henry IV led his army into Wales Gruffydd, under threat, agreed to lead them to the rebels' headquarters.
