

I am indebted to Margaret Holiday for teaching us Zorba's Dance at a party night on one of her dance holidays. This dance is great fun for everyone and gets everyone on the floor, dancers and non-dancers alike.

Abbreviations :
L = left, R = right, LF
= left foot; RF = right foot; LH = left hand, RH = right hand, fwd = forward,
, S = slow; Q = quick,
LOD = Line of dance, DC = diagonal centre, DW = diagonal wall;
Begin by forming a big circle around the dance floor and everyone holding hands facing centre.
RF side along LOD, lift knee of LF and then flick the foot it forward and across
the body to the R. (1,2)
L F side against LOD, lift knee of RF and then flick the foot it forward and
across the body to the L. (3,4)
Repeat from start once.
RF side knees straight, turn slightly to person on L and step back and behind
body with LF lowering from the knees slightly at the same time. (5,6)
RF side knees straight, turn slightly to the person on your right and step forward
and across the body on LF lowering from the knees. (7,8)
Start again.
