Wedding First Dance Lessons and Choreography

At your wedding, are you going to get up before all your friends and family and dance together for the very first time as man and wife? Would you like to surprise them all with your prowess on the dance floor or just get it over with without falling over your two left feet?

If you are a regular dancer or have never danced before we can help make that first dance into a confident and enjoyable performance.

Working with us your dance can be choreographed specifically to a song of your choosing. Or, we can help you choose the song based on the style of dance you choose, and then choreograph and teach you a routine for that style of dance. Or aim is to give you the confidence to go out there and enjoy your first dance.

If you want to want to have a dance specially choreographed for that special "first dance" on your wedding day but have never danced before you should allow a minimum of 5 private lessons to reach a standard where you both feel confident and relaxed on the floor.

We tailor the lessons to meet your needs, and can work with the bride and groom, or with other members of the wedding party if required. Perhaps the parents of bride and groom wish to learn to dance before the big day or you fancy putting on a group dance as part of the day's entertainment. The emphasis is on fun and ensuring a relaxed, comfortable approach.

You may also wish to consider joining a beginners' class well in advance of the wedding as you will find this to be of great benefit not only on the day itself but it will remain a hobby you can do together as a couple for the rest of your lives if you want to. There are many different styles of music and styles of dance. These lessons will give you a better appreciation of the options open to you and well as teaching you all the aspects of dance it is necessary to learn to give a really polished performance (rhythm, timing, lead and follow, dance hold, movement, posture etc. etc.), so that when you come to learn your 'special' dance you will look and feel so much better and find the learning process so much easier. We have had couples joining our beginners' dance classes as soon as they decide to get married - a year or more before the day itself.
