New Beginners Class Starts Tuesday 21 Spetember 2010

Dancing is a great way to meet new friends and keep the body and mind active. A new class for beginners is starting in Llansawel Village Hall on Tuesday 21 September 2010 at 7.30pm - 8.15pm. Please bring along a partner to dance with (this doesn't have to be a member of the opposite sex). Also please bring your own refreshments and come and have fun.

When: Tuesdays: 21 September -19 October 2010
Where: Llansawel Village Hall
What time: 7.30pm - 8.15pm
Cost: £16.00 per person for this 4 week course.

Tuition/Practice Nights - Autumn 2010    

Practice sessions will be held every Tuesday over the following dates - these sessions include tuition periods for our improvers and advance class but are open to all so please come along and enjoy your dancing.  Tea/coffee and biscuits are served at 9.30pm - please bring you own cup!

When: Tuesdays: 21 September -19 October 2010 and 2 November - 30 November 2010

What time: 8.15pm - 10.30pm
Cost: £5.00 per person per night - to include tea/coffee and biscuits (Please bring your own cups!)

Monthly Practice Sessions over our Summer break 2010

Practice sessions will be held on the following Saturdays during the months of July and August - these sessions are open to all so please come along and enjoy your dancing. Please bring own refreshments.

What's Planned   

Improvers tuition and practice - for people having regular lessons and can now dance the basic steps in most of the latin and ballroom dances i.e. rumba, cha cha, samba, jive, waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, tango. We will be starting back after the Summer break in late September on Tuesday nights 8.00pm - 10.30pm. Start date to be confirmed later.

Past Events   

Xmas Dance

This year Christmas knees up was held in Llansawel Village Hall - This was a fun evening with latin, ballroom and lots of easy party dances and a finger buffet.

End of Term Ball

Our end of term ball was a great success with folk really getting into the "Flower Power" theme. This time it was the men who stole the show with some really cool 60's gear complete with long hair and peace symbols. Oh yes, and the dancing was good too!

Valentines Day Dance

When: Thursday 14 February, 2008
What time: 8pm - 10pm
Where: Llanwrda Village Hall, Llanwrda, Carmarthenshire (map)
Price: £3.50 per person - please bring own refreshments.
We had a large turnout for this event and a great atmosphere. Everyone joined in, even the beginners danced nearly every dance and were intent on getting the most out of the evening. This was a good evening with everyone going away happy.

Xmas Fancy Dress Party
