We are a small but growing, group of enthusiastic gardeners interested in the Cottage Garden style of gardening and we all belong to the main UK Cottage Garden Society. (See link to UK site.) Until April, 2008, there was no regional branch which catered for gardeners living in West Wales, although branches in North Wales and South Wales were well established.

Around 12 people attended an inaugral meeting for coffee at the Waverley Café in Carmarthen, on April 2nd 2008 and it was readily agreed to organise a programme of visits to gardens throughout West Wales during the summer, on a monthly basis. Our first garden visit took place on May 22nd (see visits page) in the Swansea area and we have since visited gardens in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. Many of these visits include gardens open to the public under the National Gardens Scheme and we arrange private visits for our group only. A programme of visits is currently available up to October, 2008 and a lunch is planned for December/January, when we shall discuss the programme for the following year.

We warmly welcome enquiries from any one living in Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.
